Hi Quintin!
I miss you and your class.
And thank you for your kind introduction about Canadian movie.
I have seen only "The Barbarian Invasions"(Japanese title is 「みなさん、さようなら」) about Canadian movie.
So I'll check these movies.

And do you know Syouhei Imamura?
He is famous movie directer.
So I recommend his movies.
For example,"The Eel"(Japanese title:うなぎ),"The Ballad of Narayama"(Japanese title:楢山節考).

I am aware of that director's work, but I have only had the chance to see The Eel. I thought that film to be quite interesting.
